American-Palestinian Teenager Released After Nine-Month Period in Israel's Detention

A American-Palestinian youth who spent nine months in Israeli detention without charge gained freedom.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested last February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.
The US state department said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.
According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and experiencing medical problems contracted in captivity.
Through an official statement, the youth's uncle conveyed their "immense relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after experiencing Israel's abuse and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."
American authorities said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance to the teenager's relatives.
{"American leadership considers paramount than the safety and security of American nationals"," officials stated.
A group of American legislators had signed a letter to US authorities and the administration, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.
The father, a father-of-four managing a frozen treats business in Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.
The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.
The teenager remained absent formal charges in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
It is also home to adult prisoners, including individuals found guilty regarding severe security violations including killings.
An estimated several hundred young Palestinian detainees detained within Israeli facilities, based on prison authority data.
Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, and international organizations, say some have suffered abuse and torture.
Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.
The dual national youth per medical officials died from beating by radical settlers during a confrontation during summer.
At the time, military authorities reported authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian was deceased.
Both young men had worked together within the family's frozen treats establishment based in Florida.
No charges have been filed with Sayfollah's killing.
"We expect United States leadership to protect our families," Mr Kadur said.
